The UP chronicles...I've been in UP for almost a week now. And, this week will just the beginning of my roller coaster life in UP, more is yet to come. Now, I am certain that this is my DESTINY. I was born to become a UP student, and soon...a UP graduate. Yes, I didnt pass the Singapore scholarship interviews (no one in Pisay did). I believe it is not by mere coincidence for I will have the title of a UP graduate. Because if I did pass the scholarship, for sure, I will study in NUS. I dont really know if I'll be happy or sad about the result. But hey! I'm here at UP! where a lot of things that awaits me and my friends! Speaking of friends, I know that if I also did pass the scholarship, I will be leaving my friends. Weighing my every pros and cons, I decided to be happy and contented of the life I'm living.
With barely a week here in the university, I experienced a lot of extraordinary things that can only be found here in UP. Here's some on my list:
(1) Activists and cause-oriented people are rampant in UP. This is a fact! But the only thing that shocked me the most was their behavior during the freshmen welcome assembly. it went like this... after the performance of the UP pep squad, the singing of the UP NAMING MAHAL is up next. A second after the drum was beaten, activists ran towards the stage, however, the guards were preventing their entry. After the song, they shouted some sort of UP iskolar ng bayan blahblah... I think they just wanted to be heared, and nothing's wrong with that. But... (i wont expound my own opinions)
(2) UP profs are the best! Even though some profs are evil... I managed to got friendly and fun profs! Sir Michael Chua did a little "victimization" during the first day of KAS1! Maam Amella is the prettiest and hottest female prof in Comm 3! Sir Eric Arances is good on explaining concepts in Math 17! Streetdance is the best PE there is! ahaha. Sir De Ocariza of Geog is 'kalog' ahaha. Basta, lingaw talaga ang mga profs dito!
(3) I was able to meet very unique and fun individuals! My blockmates (go M-4!), my GE subjects classmates, my new found friends!
(4) What everyone is saying is indeed true,
masaya ang buhay kalai! I need not expound this one for one who didnt experience living in kalai wouldnt understand! char!
(5) In UP, self-learning is everyones way of acquiring knowledge and survival. And this kind of learning is the best there is!
(6) In UP, everyone is entitled to their own choices, and it is up to you to discern wrong from right. And it is up to you to choose... Just like in the movie Spiderman 3, Peter Parker said: "You always have the choice, and you can always choose to do what is right!" As for me, I choose to do what's right.
(7)-(n) more is yet to come!
MABUHAY ANG BAGONG ISKOLAR NG BAYAN!
